The Mohegan
Sun Difference
Take Las Vegas and mix it with Native American
style and you have a sense of what the Mohegan Sun Resort and
Casino is like. An easy 50-minute, gorgeous drive from either
Hartford or Providence airports. Extremely impressive on arrival,
the 34-story hotel emerges from the rural landscape like
"crystal shards into the sky". 30 restaurants on
property, offering just about every type of food. The lower level
is filled with shops - of the mid/hi-level shopping mall type.
There is no shortage of indoor things to do. Spa/ Fitness center.
Lovely indoor pool with landscaping; retractable roof opens in the
summer with outdoor patio sunning. Meeting space is tremendous;
top level entertainment is offered (from Sting to Jimmy Buffet to
Sarah McLachlan). The sleeping rooms are oversized and luxurious.
Almost an entire city out in the middle of the New England
countryside.
