The Boulders’ Difference

The setting is breathtaking…a true oasis of tranquility a world away from the bustle of business life. Situated on 1,300 acres of untouched Sonoran Desert - in the foothills near Carefree, Arizona - The Boulders Resort & Golden Door Spa has been named "America's Top Resort" for 14 consecutive years. Enjoy thoughtful touches such as overstuffed leather chairs, hand-hewn wood beams, and aromatic wood-burning fireplaces. The service and setting alone wipe away cares while the justly famous Golden Door Spa completes a guest’s transition to total rejuvenation.

Guestrooms

Accommodations are split between casitas and villas. The 160 casitas are spread out throughout the property. All rooms are very cozy with wood burning fireplaces (one of the few resorts to offer this) sitting area, sleeping area, desk and huge closets. Soft goods in the casitas were renovated in 2002. The resort also makes 55 villas, which are privately owned homes, available to groups.

Meeting Space
Meeting space at The Boulders is split between the main building and El Pedregal, which is a separate area of the resort that houses their main ballroom (The Tohono Ballroom), additional space, as well as 25 shops, galleries, various restaurants and a museum. The resort runs a shuttle from the main building to El Pedregal as well as to other buildings throughout the property. All meeting space is in great shape.

Recreation
With 36 holes of golf and a phenomenal spa as well as tennis, 7 restaurants, night mountain bike excursions, rock climbing and cooking classes, etc., groups can pretty much stay entertained on-property.
