Sundance consists of 95 luxurious guest cottages, 10,000 square feet of flexible meeting space and 6,000 acres of pristine mountain wilderness to explore.

A menu of activities found nowhere else.

Your guests can explore their creative side with classes in:

  • Pottery Making
  • Jewelry Making

You can also enjoy a scenic lift ride in the daytime, but if your visit falls during the full moon, imagine the quiet splendor of this nighttime trip!

Being Green

Sundance Resort has a long-standing history of Green policies, dating back to the properties original purchase (1969). Today, Sundance continues to update and implement new techniques and technologies, staying at the forefront of environmental stewardship.

Environment-protecting practices include:

  • Recycling. The Resort even turns glass bottles into decorative art and housewares at its own glass works kiln, for use around the property
  • Green Purchasing. All Sundance Resort departments purchase environmentally responsible products.
  • Transportation. Sundance uses hybrid vehicles on property and to promote the conservation of energy and lessening of polluting emissions.
  • Power Alternatives. Sundance has partnered with the Utah Power's Blue Sky Program and Utah Clean Energy Alliance to replace 50 % of traditional power usage with clean, pollution-free wind power, enough to keep 1,157 tons of CO2 emissions out of the atmosphere each year.

Lodging and Amenities

Lodging ranges from 450 sq. ft. standard and studio rooms to 900- 1100 sq. ft. mountain suites and lofts to 3 or 4 bedroom homes, almost all with fireplaces. Each of the lodging units is uniquely appointed in a style that harmonizes with the mountain environment, including rough-hewn wood, warm tones and Native American accents.

Dining: The AAA Four-Diamond Tree Room; the Foundry Grill with patio; the Owl Bar featuring the restored 1890’s original Rosewood Bar once frequented by Butch Cassidy’s Hole-in-the-Wall Gang; and the Deli with gourmet sandwiches and pastries.

Spa at Sundance is inspired by the Sioux concept of Hocoka—a sacred environment for the restoration and healing of the body and spirit. In the six, natural wood, softly-lit treatment rooms of the "green building,” Native American traditions blend with natural products and the human touch to bring body, mind and spirit back into perfect balance.
